A/C problem. more confused now after reading threads
hi all, thanks for putting up this site. mine is a 2003 accord 2.4 4cyl motor ex model. i've been reading all post related to my a/c problem but i'm more confused. i'll try the simpliest way to describe my problem
when turning on the A/C, compressor engages but blower motor does not turn on any speed.
blower motor turns okay when wired directly to 12V source. test probed wires plugged to blower motor, white gives out 12V but blue/black does not give out negative power.
tested wires plugged into the resistor, blue gives out 12V while all other pins have no power.
tested relays under hood and dash all are okay
in some thead, they mention resistor while others say transistor, are they reffering to the same thing?
if it's the resistor, can you point me where i can buy it? i've got denso part # 077800-0780. is there any other brand and part # i can use?
please help me, this is my wifes car and she drives it in the nevada desert sans A/C.
thanks in advance

One pin of the blower motor should have 12V when touching the other volt meter lead to ground. The other pin should have continuity (~zero resistance) to ground. Verify ground on all of the fan speed settings.

Same thing; it's what controls the blower motor to run at different speeds. Every car company has used resistors for like 75 years, so that's what most people call it. But in modern cars it's probably some kind of solid-state motor controller.
