Default CAI and water

long story short i have a K&N CAI installed about 4 years ago. well every time it rains (not flooding, not driving through puddles), somehow my filter gets wet and i stall out. I have an AEM bypass valve filter on now but havent had the opportunity to drive in rain yet. kinda afraid cause i know for the BVF to work, the intake filter has to be submerged. any help? maybe a K&N dry wrap for the filter or build a box around my intake so no water can get to it? the under body is in tact.

There are good reasons why cars don't come with this type of intake stock. The improvements are not worth the risk. You may hate SRI, but you will hate water in your engine even more.

There are kits that they sell that prevent water from reaching it.
