california legal cat

I need a cat for my 2000 Honda accord. Honda wants $1600 just for the cat I have found aftermarket on eBay and other sites.Does anyone know if I put one of the aftermarkets on my car will I still pass smog.

you'll most likely pass but for how long the aftermarket cat will last....

Thanks for the web site but is says that they do not fit California systems. I'm trying to find out why they do not fit.

find one that's carb exempt and you should be legal. I doubt physical fitment is the issue, I think it's more to do with the way it works but I could be wrong...

I was wrong, CA cat's are longer, here's one that will work for about $500
