Hi folks,

I have a 2000 Accord EX V6 which recently got hit in the back really hard and the insurance considers it a total loss. So, I cannot use this perfectly running powerful comfortable car. I also have a 1995 Accord LX and was wondering if I could swap some of the things from 4 Dr 2000 V6 EX into the 4 Dr Accord LX before the insurance takes it to the salvage yard.

Do any of you have experience with this situation? I would like to change to 5-lug wheels from 4-lug in 1995. the 2000 also has new tires (a year old). But, this does not seem to be a trivial task. Can I switch the cd player from the 2000 accord? How about the seats? Any help/advice is appreciated.

Best way to use parts is to buy the car from insurance company and repair the damage.

Pulling parts from a car you've sold is called theft!

Nothing is sold to the insurance company yet and I've not agreed for them to take the car to salvage. It is still mine.

So, do you know if I can use any of those parts from 2000 EX V6 to use in my 1995 LX?

 

The insurance payout should be more than the parts value.

 

There won't be much you can use going from the 2000 to the 95. Maybe the stereo?
