I just finished installing a simple Audiovox remote start on my 2012 Accord. It's the one button type, and it does the unlock-lock to bypass the alarm. However, after the engine remote starts the Honda key fob does not work anymore, so I have to unlock the car with the key - or stop the engine and then use the Honda fob to unlock - which I like neither.
Any ideas on why the Honda fob does not work when engine runs under remote start control, and how to work around this?

 

afaik they are like that. to use remote unlock while the car is running, your remote start would have to have that feature.
