Default Can I use a 95 Distributor in my 97?

I need to replace my distributor due to no spark.

I found a deal on a 94-95 dist.

How hard would it be to use that one?

You can't use it. 95 is OBD1 and 97 is OBD2.

The above statement isn't exactly true. The electrical connectors are different, because 2 of the sensors were moved from the distributor on the 94/95 accord to under the timing belt.

It is possible to swap the electrical connector from your 97 distributor to the 95 distributor. Is your 97 and DX, LX, or EX? Is the 95 distributor from a DX, LX, or EX?

This is the wires cross reference if you were to swap the connectors for distributor with external coil.

I would just keep the original distributor and swap out or replace the ignitor. They should be compatible regardless of trim level within the years 90 thru 97 although there were different OEM parts that look different but bolt pattern and the four electrical clip pattern is the same for the ignitor pack.
