Default Cant open trunk 2009 Tourer

Hello all

I have a problem with my 2009 Tourer. I cant open the trunk/backdoor. At the same tim the window in the front passenger seat cant open and you can not control the mirror. My local mechanic could not solve the problem. Does any of you have a clue whats wrong?

Regards

These can possibly be related, but I'd troubleshoot a 3 different problems to diagnose.

Was any work done on the car or a vehicle accident before you had these issues? Did all 3 start at the same time?

If you have a scanner, see if any codes are showing up. That could give you some direction.

I don't know if your trunk/hatch release is mechanical where you pull a lever or a button you push. Please let us know.

For each non-working item, for example the mirror, the mirror motor can be bad, something in the wiring like missing power, ground, damaged wiring, or the signal from a switch can be missing. You'd have to troubleshoot each item using a volt meter or test light.

No there was not done any work on the car. The problem came over night. All 3 issues started at the same time. therefor i think there is a connection. The trunk release is electric. But there is no reaction when using the remote, the button in front by the driver or the release button on the backdoor.

My mechanic used a scanner, but without luck.

Its a bit of a problem, because the only manuel release is located on the inside of the backdoor.

I don't see how the trunk and the window/mirror are related. I suggest starting with the trunk/hatch troubleshooting.

From your description, you don't have a US accord. Using US terminology, the sedan has a trunk. The wagon has a hatchback. Regardless, the electronics should be similar if not identical to the US accord. Below is a video of a US sedan that covers some electrical testing you can try. He mentions a valet switch that you should check on your car if you have one as well.

Hello

It turned out to be a faulty switch for the window in the drivers seat. After using days to locate the problem, the mecanic called Honda, who knew about the issue.
