Default car "shakes" at 2800-3500 RPM?

so i've got a 01 accord EX, and it's just started to shake when i accelerate. it does it pretty bad in 3rd and 4th gear around 2800-3500 RPM. could it be the EGR valve? or a bad spark plug wire? any help would be great. thanks

are you sure it's coming from the engine? it could be something tire or suspention related as well. I had a tire go bad on my left rear, and at 60-75 mph (24-3000 rpm) it shook bad.

Could be a bad vacuum actuated motor mount.

Actually I doubt its a vacuum motor mount. Those are only supposed to go soft at idle in gear (D or R). So while actually driving, theyre supposed to be in their hard state.

When you get the car back, will you post the fix? Thanks.

i was going to say that it could be the tie rods, but if your feeling a loss of power than i dont think thats it

May be a combination of things...

Loss of power is new vs the earlier part of this thread. Misfiring?

How does it work at speed, shift to neutral & coast.
How about using a different gear - shaking related to road speed or RPM?

We are trying to narrow down the large number of possibilities.
