Unhappy Car died and wont start, blown fuse

hello, I am having a problem with my 92 Honda accord LX. It died on me while driving and wouldn't start again. My husband noticed a blown fuse and replaced it, the car started, the fuse blew, and the car quit running and wouldn't start back up again. Neither one of use are very good when it comes to mechanics but he thought maybe it was the ground wire so he unhooked it but that did not remedy the situation. The fuse looks like a little black box with a metal prong on each side. Someone please help!

Is this the fuse box in the engine bay or under the drivers dash inside the car?

If you look in the owner's manual, there should be a diagram of the fuses. Or on the fuse box cover. Tell us the fuse number, the amps, and/or the description.

sounds more like a relay, but can you look and see what the relay/fuse is for... with it killing the car I wonder if it might be a main circuit breaker or something (if so equipped)

My husband said he got it from under the hood and he thinks that it also controls the interior lighting (not sure if he is right he doesnt know much) I dont have the owners manual the package the fuse came in says its an 80 amp fusible link

The 80 amp fuse is the main fuse (alternator, power distribution). If is is blown, the car won't run.

You'll have to look for a short causing the fuse to blow. A short is an accidental connection of a wire to ground or to another wire. Make sure the battery cable are not mixed up, make sure the wire insulation is good on the positive cable with no exposed wiring touching the metal part of the chassis/body ground or other exposed wire, look at the alternator wiring, etc.
