I just bought a 91 Accord EX. I testdrove the car on numerous occasions and it drove out GREAT. I bought the car, brought it home, parked it in the driveway and the second time I drove it the steering column locked up! A tow to the local garage ended in a locksmith repairing an ignition issue(not a replacement). The car has driven all week until today. This time the steering column was not locked, the engine did turn over, but the car did not start. Backyard mechanic came over and claimed that the fuel pump was shot. Nearly an hour later I went out and fiddled with the key and the car started right up.
Am I heading in the right direction on correcting this problem of the ignition needing replaced?
