cd player

Hi guys! New here... awesome site!

My cd player in my 2000 is acting up. While playing it crackles/distorts the sound coming from the cd. Sounds like a loose wire to the speakers, but have no issues with radio. Suspect lens issues. Have cleaned the lens in the past with success, this time no luck. Sometimes ejects the cd and the code P-EO is displayed in the LED. Any suggestions?

Are you playing CD-R's or CD-RW's? Does it make this noise with a new CD right out of the box? If it does it will new store baught Cd's, your player might be hosed.

any cd's. Think the lens rail may have gotten buggered or something is in it. Either way, looks like a new one is the only way out on this one.

You may want to get a Haynes manual for your car. The manual will tell you what the errors mean.
