P2227 is the barometric pressure sensor, looks like it is part of the ECM
P1722 does not appear to be a valid code for the year

sometimes erroneous codes appear when using aftermarket scantools, see it all the time.

+1. Agreed. Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) have more capabilities than generic OBD-II scanners.

For the P2227, first check the air filter, change if necessary and check for debris or blockage in the air intake system. Then reset trouble code(s) and see if it comes back. There's been one or two stories on this and other forums where the person even found a dead mouse or something else. You may even have to take off the air intake to inspect.

Debris in the air box or restriction in the air intake can cause this code, as well as problems with the idle air control valve, or throttle position sensor.

Dr. D is correct that the barometric pressure sensor is part of the ECM.

they also mention a software upgrade for the ECM and to do it first if it has not been done yet.

Here's some info. regarding P2227 possibly due to the throttle position sensor (which was mentioned earlier). But, like previously mentioned: check the air intake, filter, and possibly clean the throttle body too. --Sometimes it's just due to debris or air restriction.

Some of the procedures mentioned on the attached pic. are with Honda Diagnostic System (HDS); but, this just to give you more info. regarding possible culprits in addition to what Dr. D and I already mentioned.

i had the tps replaced and the map sensor replaced then it threw the barometric pressure sensor code p2227. im leaning towards getting the ecm replaced but on another note the car wont shift into 3rd unless i take my foot off the gas at like 3.5 rpm or higher. would that be caused by a bad baro sensor/ecm or does that problem lie within the transmission.

Also wondering what tools i would need to get a look at the ecm to get the exact model number off of it, and if i have a new one installed does it have to be installed by a fu*&%ng dealership cause i need to be liquered up to talk to them or i get frustrated real fast.

Any help would be great on this situation thanks for all of the above info by the way.

ps
I am the one that found the dead mouse in the air filter and cleaned it out all the way down to the elbow
