Default changing one cell radiator in Accord 98

Hi, i am using accord 98 Lx, 4cyl 2.3l, Auto trans. I bought the car with one cell radiator in it. My mind is telling me to change it to two cell radiator, although is not overheating presently. What is your opinion over it? I am afraid it will not function much with the A/c on for a journey of four hours trip. Do you think is better to change it to two cell radiator to function maximally to full capacity because i do not want any disappoint on the highway when travelling, here(Nigeria) the temperature is very hot during noonday. Honda accord are good cars. Hoping to hear from you soon. Dr. Ridley

Old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't mess with it."

If your car will run for one hour with the A/C keeping you cool, it will certainly run for four hours, or forty hours for that matter.

tthanks I wil stick to your advice, I gave my wife the former car accord 90 with auto trans. I am using before but it didn't come with A/C, my wife is insisting i should install A/C. since is not a factory- fitted A/C and i go ahead to install it will it not affects the engine and other electrical components in the car on the long run when using it. Now the car looks still strong and is going to three years now i bought it so anything that will cause damage to the engine I will neglect it. I really need your advice on this. Hope to hear from you

The a/c is connected to the engine computer, so the engine will run faster at idle to provide enough power to the a/c.

So your car never had a/c? Or was it removed? I thought only the DX accord came without a/c?

If I recall correctly the OP (Rilex) is from Nigeria; I know that in many countries A/C is not standard equipment on most cars and Nigeria might well be one of them.

thanks for replying, if it is Accord 90 Dx with auto trans. can i still go ahead and install it without any complications from the engine computer? I thought that since it is not a factory fitted A/C, installing the A/C might make the engine to overheat and cause further damage to the car. What do you suggest? Whether A/C is a standard equipments or not does not really matters much, as long as you have the money to affords cars with A/C no problem at all here in Nigeria. Keep it up, hope to hear from you soon
