Default Changing Rotors on 06 Accord

Hi room,

I'm new to this form and I was wondering if there is any info on changing rotors and brake pad on this form?

Almost the same as most other Japanese cars. For that matter most other cars, period.

If you look in the DIY section, there's probably a thread about the earlier "hub-over-rotor" brakes. Beginning with 1998 Accord front brakes are normal = much easier.

Remove 2 bolts for the caliper slide pins, remove caliper. DON'T let it hang by the hose.

Remove old brake pads.

Remove caliper bracket, 2 bolts, probably 17mm wrench.

Rotor might be stuck with rust so use PB Blaster or Kroil or something like that. Hit with mallet, or maybe there's a couple threaded holes to use. Find 2 bolts that fit (M6?) & use them as jacking screws to push the rotor off the hub.
