1998 Honda Accord, V6, 133,000 miles all services up to date. The check engine light comes on each time when the gas tank reaches 1/2 to 1/4 level and at that time you can smell the odor of gas behind the drivers seat and by the back seat. I have taken the vehicle in two times, both times the Honda dealer can find no leaks or problems, just re-set the trouble code (indicated loose gas cap). We'll the gas cap isn't loose at all and there is no evidence of any leakes. Is there some kink of pressure release valve that monitors pressure within the tank. Any other suggestions?

when they scanned the codes, what was the failure code? "minor evap leak"?

 

Mine did that last month was the oxygen sensor cost $342.00 to replace
