Check engine light is on
Just replaced the timing belt, water pump and seals on my son's 97 Accord LX V6. Before disassembly, ensured TDC, during replacement ensured that nothing was disturbed, after reassembly started the vehicle, appeared to run fine and then shortly afterwards the check engine light came on. While engine was running, therewere no metal to metal contact sounds, no whinning belts, no other indicators. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Jeff

Take it to AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts. They will read your OBDII trouble codes for free. the OBDII service connector is located behind the ash tray. Simple pull backwards on the ash tray to remove it and expose the connector. All they need to do is hook up their code reader.
Please post the exact code number here. It will look like this "P0123." Do NOT listen to the explanation they give you for why the code is shown. They are usually trying to sell you parts when they do that. Many times their explanations are dead wrong on a honda, however, the code is correct.
