Check Engine light, Limp Mode.
Hello everyone.
Here's my problem. The car will go into Limp mode **I believe based on my research**(check light, no rev over 3000rpm, needle jerking). It will come and go but here is what i believe triggers it: 1-After the car is running for a while(hot weather, heavy acceleration, up hill?). 2-more often triggered while running A/C and multiple accessories. Also when I turn the engine off during Limp mode, let it sit for about 10 minutes, go to start backup, it will crank for about 5 to 6 seconds before turning over. I have learned a trick to start it right up by turning key to the acc position then turn key back one, then up again and crank! starts right up. I'd like to note it usually goes back off Limp mode when the car has cooled down, not running for a while. I heard this may be alternator causing this, but i know there can be a bunch of other reasons. Any advice would help point me in the right direction. Thank You.
