Default click sound while driving on smooth roads.

Hello All,
I am a new member who is having some slight problem with my Accord (2000 model). The problem is while driving on smooth roads, it makes a 'click click' sound (as if you have put your indicator) from the passenger side front wheel(thatz what I think). This does not come always and hence could not reproduce the sound when I took the car to the dealer. This sound keeps repeating (once it is started) as if a piece of stone is stuck in the groves of the tyre. Has anyone come across anything like this ? Please let me know.
Cheers,
John

try turning hard in a circle one direction then the other to see if you can reproduce the noise... if you can it could be your CV joints if not then start looking elsewhere.... is it speed related or just surface related?

Welcome to the forum!

Hi there,
Thanks for the fast response. I took the car for a spin today and it does not make any sound while cornering(both left & Right). It normally comes when you go above 20 miles/hr and sounds like a stone in the tyre at low speeds and like the "indicator switch on" at higher speeds(on big roads). The sound is more obvious on smooth roads(at low speeds) and on any surface at higher speeds. (but not always !! ). Anything to do with the shocks ?
Cheers,
John

DesertHonda wrote this in regards to a clicking noise on a 99 and it may be the same issue you are having

there is a bulletin on clicking noise ,, i don't know if it is the same noise that you are experiencing but bulletin says that , it is rust between hub and wheel,,

sand down the hub and the inner side of the wheel where they meet ..and apply some high temper grease on both places ...

bulletin # 99-093 .

let me know if this helps
