code P0401 found in my accord....
I know it's a faulty EGR valve but my question is, can i clean it? or do I ABSOULTLEY have to buy a new one?
|
What year accord do you own?
|
P0401 is not necesarily a faulty EGR. On many models it means the EGR passages downstream from the EGR are blocked. P0401 means insufficient EGR flow, but not necesarily a faulty EGR valve.
You need to advise what year/trim Accord you have for better help. good luck |

Others w/ more knowledge of V6's will help, but my recollection from previous posts is the intake manifold must be removed to access all the passages.
Check the DIY forum for a writeup. Check youtube for a video. If you plan to DIY, suggest checking the Online Manuals post in DIY forum for a download or purchasing an emanual from seller automanualsource on ebay. good luck |
thanks
