code P0401 found in my accord....

Default code P0401 found in my accord....

I know it's a faulty EGR valve but my question is, can i clean it? or do I ABSOULTLEY have to buy a new one?

P0401 is not necesarily a faulty EGR. On many models it means the EGR passages downstream from the EGR are blocked. P0401 means insufficient EGR flow, but not necesarily a faulty EGR valve.

You need to advise what year/trim Accord you have for better help.

Others w/ more knowledge of V6's will help, but my recollection from previous posts is the intake manifold must be removed to access all the passages.

Check the DIY forum for a writeup. Check youtube for a video.

If you plan to DIY, suggest checking the Online Manuals post in DIY forum for a download or purchasing an emanual from seller automanualsource on ebay.
