This really is crazy. I swapped a relay out of the parts car, jumped switch A again. now only the condenser fan is running.

1. Was the ignition turned on after you jumped Switch A? If yes, something is wrong with the cooling fan circuits. We will have to do some different troubleshooting. You may need a multimeter to test for voltage and continuity.

2. For the other test for the condenser fan, you will jump the harness side. The A/C condenser fan relay should have a 4 terminal connector. The wire colors will be:
  • White
  • Yel/White (Yellow with a white stripe)
  • Blue/Yel (Blue with a yellow stripe)
  • Blue
The jumper wire is to essentially connect the White to the Blue/Yel, which will provide direct power/voltage to the condenser fan motor to turn it on.

Just saw you posted the condenser fan works. You don't need to do the test I just posted with the condenser fan relay.

I will post something for the radiator fan.

You said the radiator fan did run before. Under what conditions did it run?

yes, the radiator fan would run awhile after longer/frequent stop trips. I believe it was working while the car ran as well because it did not start to over heat until just recently. Also I watched it kick on once, (before I shut off the car) after a test drive right after I swapped the relay. I think I may have made a mistake by swapping a used relay in from the other car? supposedly autozone can get me one for $11. Should I just replace it, or is something possibly blowing relays?

The relays are an electromechanical type of relay. They may over time fail. If it is the radiator fan relay (located in the under-hood fuse/relay box), check that the proper amperage fuse is at Fuse No. 39, it should be a 20A fuse. In the under-hood fuse/relay box, the power window relay is the same type of relay as the radiator fan relay. Try swapping them to see if the radiator fan runs.

For the A/C condenser fan relay, check the Fuse No. 29 also has a 15A fuse.

I don't know the numbering system for these but the fuses are all correct according to the diagram(I checked both boxes, I know these often do more than simply the one thing they indicate) and the only one blown recently was the 7.5 for the radio (probably has some thing to do with my dad putting in a new stereo for me). I went ahead and tried a brand new relay and it didn't help. The condenser fan has two plug ins, I can only see one on the radiator fan, down left battery side. is this the only one?
I don't currently have access to a volt meter, but I will see if I can rent or buy one from the machine shop if you could just tell me what I should be checking with it. Thanks.

I need to understand what is currently going on.

1. Which relay did you change?

2. If you jump fan Switch A with the ignition on, which fans currently run?

3. You can pick an inexpensive multimeter from Harbor Freight for $5.99. Sometimes it is free with any purchase. if you have a coupon.

We would be testing for power/voltage on the fan circuit power wires and for continuity on the ground wires.

Initially, I was trying to guide you through some tests without the need for testing equipment.

previously I swapped the condenser fan relay, the one on the bracket on the driver side front corner of the car. after doing that I started the car and turned on the ac. The fan on the right ride, condenser fan ran. Then I jumped switch A, and only that same fan ran. When I first bought the car neither fan would run, I swapped the relay out of the fuse box, black cube looking one, and the radiator fan worked for awhile, but not now. So I tried a brand new one, but the radiator fan(left side) is still not running.
Basically, both relays have been replaced and fan on the right runs fine fan on the left is not running at all.
Sorry for any confusion.

The driver's side is consider the left side and passenger the right side.

From this image, which fan is not working? I just want to confirm.
