Default Control Arm 01 Civic LX

Getting ready to change the drivers side control arm on my 01 civic lx (165,000 mi) because the rubber bushing(?) that the front mounting bolt passes through is shot. I can hear clanging noise coming from there...can feel metal to metal when hitting bumps and it has dropped down in comparison to other side. Is it recommended that I change other components at the same time such as ball joints, stabilizer bar bushings, etc? The riders side was changed some time ago due to my son dropping that wheel into a concrete drain. Working from a Haynes manual.

I called it a bushing but it looks like the rubber part was poured into the opening..not actually a bushing that could be removed and replaced

I have never done a Civic only Accords but the bolt going through the sub frame and arm is usually seized to the control arm bushing steel component and just spreads the frame when you try to unthread it. At the dealership we used to cut the bushing and bolt then remove the arm and heat up the remaining part of the bolt and unthread it. You have to break the bolt loose before cutting it so you can unthread it easy at the end. We used a torch or a die grinder with a large diameter cutting disc. On the other components if the rubber is cranked or brittle it is time to replace it.
