Default Converting to FI from carb

I was wondering if its possible to retro fit an 89 accord with FI and if its worth it or just to buy a new car, i had a part go bad on the car this weekend that seems irreplaceable due to unavailability (Part Number 16210-PH4-662). I understand they generally cost about 1.3k average.

It depends on what you want to spend to do the conversion. It would require a bit of work. If it were me, I would either find a used or aftermarket replacement part, or look fora replacement vehicle.

i really dont care to spend what i have to, to keep the car but its infuriating that this part i need doesnt exist anymore. Ive tried tons of junk yard and cant seem to find this part. Back to the main topic i just wonder if its worth converting to FI and is it something you can do yourself or best left to a mechanic.

The efe heater......just keep driving. Ok when the car is cold you have a small issue but once the car warms up you are fine.

Converting to FI - not worth it.

So it would be alright to just not fuss with the heater working? If im not mistaken it is leaking as well though, like its not sealed properly. I replaced the gasket and seal when i replaced the carb though. If the insulator isnt nessecary though ill be glad to done with it.

If you can verify no leaks, keep driving. If it is leaking, not at the gaskets but thru a crank in the heater grid......a few choices, seal the grid crack with epoxy/silicone.....search a few bone yards for a 3rd gen carb car, or just remove the grid?
