Default coolant capacity apparent discrepancy

The owners manual for my 92 Accord (with an automatic transmission) lists the radiator coolant total capacity as 1.88 gallons if equipped with the automatic transmission. Yet I have a Chiltons repair manual which lists the cooling system capacity as 7.3 quarts for this vehicle with the automatic transmission. I wonder why the discrepancy here.
What is the actual total cooling system capacity?

That's a difference of less than a half-pint. It might be the Chilton book doesn't count the white plastic overflow reservoir.

Hmm. Okay, but I would think there is typically more than half a pint in the overflow reservoir. Only half a pint difference discrepancy is not worth worrying about though I suppose. I didn't do the math before I posted. Thanks JimBlake
