Default A couple questions 97 Accord

97 Accord SE with F23A swap. I put the car in the shop and they told me the timing belt components need to be replaced. Is this an easy job? If so, any links to tutorials?

Another thing, the shop found my oil leak which I believe he said was the oil pressure switch. But I thought the pressure switch was mounted by the dizzy. He told me it was directly above the oil filter (center of engine). I found the part that was leaking but I'm not sure what it's called of if it's hard to replace? Here's a pic I tried to take of it.

It's located directly above the oil filter under the intake manifold!
And btw this is a JDM F23A engine!

That is the oil pressure switch. It is easy to replace, just screw off screw on. Put some Teflon tape or something to seal it.

Timing belt is a little more complicated, not overly hard(minus getting the crank pulley bolt off). But if its wrong it can seriously harm your engine. Just google replacing f22 or f23 timing belt. Its basically the same for all Honda SOHC engines.

Well it doesn't look like you can even reach it unless you got under the car and took the oil filter off. And the switch is only $12 at autozone, does this sound correct?

And btw I'm talking about the actual timing belt bearings, or pulleys. They make a grinding sound.

The price at the dealer was ~$15 about 5 years ago, so that part and price are about right. I put a thin coat of RTV on the threads to seal it.

If you want to see how to replace the timing belt, you can buy a video at ericthecarguy.com for around ~$10 that goes through the TB replacement. The tension pulleys are easily replaced once you get the TB removed.
