crank or cam seal leak?
i have a 98 accord with j30a motor. just the other day it started to not hold oil. i went thru 3 quarts in a day. i believe the leak is coming from above the oil pan. i checked the plug, the filter, and cleaned off all areas from oil pan down, and saw it run down the side of the oil pan. its on the passenger side so i know its not rear main. is there any other possibilities its something easier than replacing cam or crank seals? im really hoping thats not the case. keep in mind it only leaks like this while running so its gotta be under pressure. ill post more later

well its leaking on the side (by firewall) but is up by the front by the pulleys. at least thats where its coming down and dripping. dripping just behind where oil filter screws on. i saw it coming down onto a pan bolt behind filter, and running down. so idk what to think.

@JIM i think youve brought a major conclusion to my attention lol oil pressure switch IS in fact closer to the area i the oil is coming from. i will check that out tomorrow hopefully before supercross! lol thanks so much, ill tell you what i find out then!

more likely it oil pump seal, which mean u have to take all the timing belt apart to change it, best way to know that is a problem u need to take off the timing belt cover by support the engine pan while let the engine idle then u will know for sure

Oil filter adapter is towards the front, so apparently the oil was dripping/blowing from their towards the back.
"More likely" is all good, but if you can actually SEE where it's leaking from, that's the best information.
