Default Cruise Control

I have a 2002 Accord 4cyl auto SE Coupe whose cruise control no longer works. I had to recently replace my brake light switch. Can the two be related? If not, where should I start?

Thanks

chk the adjustment on the brake switch,, if the little plunger sticks out , it is the same as stepping lightly on the brakes, it won't let the cruise control engage,
You want to make sure that the plunger is all the way in when brake pedal is in the up position

LOL ..... it might be easier to see if your brake lights are on all of the time or if you can shift out of park without hitting the brakes ..... same effect.

Brake lights are not constantly on. Is the Cruise Control tied into the brake light switch? Could I have gotten a falty switch/the wrong switch?

if the connector connected to the brake switch most likely it's the right switch. when you install it you need to bottom out the switch with the pad. you want that little plunger depressed with the brake pedal released and extended when you press the pedal, know what i mean? i'll post a few pics if you need them. let me know

I'm fairly sure I know what you mean, but I'm a visual learner, so post away.
