Default cv axle in all the way?

I just replaced a CV axle on my 92 accord and am kind of concerned whether its shaft got inserted far enough into the tranny. I think I kind of felt it click in there when I pushed it in but not really certain. I'd say there's a good 1/8" to 3/16" inch gap. I took a look at the other side for comparison; there's a similar gap there almost seems like the new gap might be a hair wider so maybe it didn't go in all the way. I took pictures; the first one is the other halfshaft insertion gap and the second one is the gap with the newly installed one. I'd really rather not have to pull the newly installed one out again and start over if it seems with a good degree of certainty (from those here who've done this more often) that it's in there fine.

Good to hear. I can say now the consensus as such has been established. Thanks.
