Default d4 and cel probs

first,
sorry im sure this has been asked before but i searched and could not find exactly what i was looking for. 94 accord ex, d4 starts blinking every once and a while and will not shift past 3rd gear, sometimes it does not and car runs and shifts great, also only sometimes when the d4 light blinks the cel light comes on and still does not shift past 3rd.. i jumped to get codes and when i do cel stays solid no blinks.. but the d4 does not blink at all.. thought at first vss or csss but i changed both of those bout 3 months ago..
thanks

No codes? And I'm sure you already checked the fluid level-sorry, had to ask.

The below talks mainly about the 4th gen's but may give you some things to check. You might have already come across this but thought I'd put it out there.

The link is not active, that is not allowed by the rules of this forum. Add the www to the front or google for "techauto" and it should work. Highlevel re-cap, check the trans soleniods.
