Hi,
I have a 98 honda accord ex...I had a trans put in the car about a year ago...The guy told me when he put it in, they messed up and sent him a trans with posi traction...I had the car repainted and it sat for almost a year..When i picked it up and drove it home the trans did a mis shift and now the check engine light is on and the d4 light is blinking.I took it to a trans shop and the guy put new silonodes in it and it didnt fix it...he thinks its the tran control unit...he said the trans looks fine but to take it to the dealer to have it scanned by them..i called honda and they told me over the phone it is one of two things either the silonodes are bad or it mechanical failure...havent had a chance to have honda read it yet, but does anyone have any suggestion what might be wrong....The car has low miles 120k but i dont want to dump a new trans in (honda said $3,500) if the car is that old and i have to put more money in it then its worth...

p0700 leads me to think the TCU is faulty (burnt resitors/transitors/capacitors) which you can replace the unit or fix it yourself...
p1773 makes me think solenoids... but the TCU issue may cause them to register a code since the TCU isn't operating correctly.
