Im back... it is not the trans, i repeat it is not the trans. its the counter shaft speed sensor that is causing it. Does anyone know if that is dangerous to the car? ie. should i get it fixed asap?

the car is also making some nasty sounds and possibly a strut issue on the driver side front wheel.

You can clean and then test the sensor.....sometimes little pieces of metal get on the end causing it to "read wrong". Then test the resistance on the sensor to see if it is in spec.
