Default Dash Lights!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

ok guys a few days ago when i was fooling around behind my HU, the insulation around the "illumination/ dash lights" wire came off leaving it exposed (i didnt notice at the time). that very same day i noticed my dash lights did not turn on when i turned my headlights on. As soon as i figured out this was the problem i quickly took my head unit out again and put some electrical tape on the exposed wire. I also checked the fuses and they all look ok, but the problem is not yet fixed. I dont know what to do from here. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!

Maybe a blown fuse due to the wire being grounded?

You are going to have to find a wiring diagram.

You can try to test for voltage (or ground) at the plug that was damaged. I'm not sure if that wire should be hot or a ground. That is where the diagram will help.
