Hi, I'm having a problem (just like everyone else on here ) with my 99 Accord LX thatI can't figure out and it really bothers me, because I've
been trying for a few days now and I'm not getting anywhere. My dashboard/instrument panel lights are not working at all. Other people have had
the same problem, however if those lights are not on something else is not working as well. In my case though everything else is working just fine.
turn signals, dome lights, window controls, break lights, everything. What's weird is that when my headlights are off the clock and the odometer
lights are on, when i turn the headlights on though they go off. I've checked all the fuses, the wiring (as good as i could) and I can't find anything
wrong. I did mess with the car a little bit but I wasn't even close to doing anything with it's wiring. I installed a power supply for my carpc
but all I did was to run a wire from the + on the battery to the PS and ground it. I also replaced the light bulb on the clock with one that I pulled
out of a different AC control unit. The bulb was a bit bigger but still worked. I have ordered a multiplex unit, but I'm not sure that that would fix
the problem. If the multiplex unit is bad shouldn't I have other problems as well? Could it be the dimmer switch? I think that's where I should've started
before ordering the multiplex unit, but I guess I don't have to buy it from the dealership. Any ideas? Has anyone had the problem before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
