Default Dead Cylinder. Please Help Fast!

i have a 2000 accord coupe ex- f23a1 vtec
mechanic told me i have a dead cylinder and possibly a burnt valve
he said he would take the head apart and redo the entire head for $500
i was looking to possibly do an enginge swap in then future but am tight on cash right now.
if i were to buy a new h22 vtec head would it bolt right on?
if so, would i be smart to do this, or no?

If you don't know exactly what you're doing, it's best to stick w/ your own head. It can be repaired easily.

Was compression low on one cylinder and mechanic checked and confirmed valve leakage was the cause?

I thought H22 was dual OH cam and F23 was single OH cam.

good luck
