Default Did I get scammed ?

Hello, I'd like to request some help.

My '99 accord has lately been randomly been stalling/complete power failure. After a minute the car can be turned again and the engine starts up like nothing ever happened. After much reading online I determined it might be the ignition switch, which I had replaced at no charge by a dealer under an NHTSA recall.

Dealer installed a new ignition switch P/N 35100-S84-A31

The problem continued and I brought the car to an independent shop who told me the wire harness was bad. They installed P/N 35130-S84-A01.

Here's a diagram of the part numbers.

Honda online store : 1999 accord combination switch parts

Is the latter part number part of the package that was installed by the dealer? If so, either the dealer did not install what they say they installed or the independent shop replaced / made up replacing something that was newly installed shortly before by the dealer right?

I'm not sure yet, that was only installed yesterday. I'll know after a few days of driving. I'm thinking about requesting the old replaced part.

Is 35130-S84-A01 included in 35100-S84-A31 ?

good luck, unless you ask for old parts specifically and it's in writing...they get tossed at the end of the day, recall items may get sent back to the manufacturer...but unlikely.
