Default dim light in cluster

I have a problem with the lighting in my center console cluster. When I put my lights on at night all the ***** in the console, ie: radio and climate controle are very dim. Also my map light is not working. My honda dealership changed the cluster, but this did not fix the problem. They are now telling me that it maybe an electrical problem not covered under warranty. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to fix the problem?

Why would any kind of electrical problem NOT be covered under warranty? Are you over 36k miles?

yes i'm over 36,000. I had and extended warranty, but they are telling me that it is not covered. they want to charged me to check diffrent thing. For example they charged me $80.00 of labour to check the ground. It did not work. Now they says that they would like to check the map light assembly, but they want me to cover the labour cost. This is why i'm looking for diffrent opinions or possible solutions.

thank for your reply.
