Default dipstick?

Hi....
I have a stupid question. Im new to this forum so if this question has been asked before i apologize.
Anyways I decided to change oil on my car at mr lube. I went home and the next day I checked to see if everything was fine and i checked the dipstick measure. It was overfilled. I cleaned the it with some cloth and tried it again, nothing changed.
I check it again the next day and this there was not enough oil( i let the car sit for couple minutes and then check) . I don't know what to do , every time i check i get different result.
They put castrol (not sytetic) oil and I belive FRAM filter ( i know fram is bad but its the only one they had for accord)
My car is 05 accord v6.
Anyone else had experience with this problem.
Thank you in advance!!!!!!

make sure the car has been sitting. pull the dipstick clean it stick it back in all the way then pull it out quick. turn it over to the side that doesnt have the notches and shine it in the light. then remember that spot and turn it over to where the measuring lines are and see how full it is

I've never personally had issues with Fram filters but that's just me... the biggest thing you need to do to get an accurate reading is make sure your car is level and not running...

sir nasty hit it on the head, make sure car is on a level surface and car has been shut off for a bit , give a chance to all the oil to drip down back to the pan. also make sure that the dipstick is fully inserted every time you chk oil level

i think its the comparison to how they used to be made. they were arguably the best filter out there. but then the company that owns it now bought it and lowered the quality substantially. i use the tough guards though, i dont wait long enough for the filter to be a problem and i like the grippyness

Fram filters suffer from the cheapest construction of any filter made. Some Honda filters made by Fram are just as bad. They do work but in the future just ask for a different brand. It's just a matter of there are better products available for the same money (or less) spent.

Glad you got the boo-boo fixed.......installer error....again!

In the midst of all this oil filter debate, I thought this might interest everyone. Check out the link, it is a pretty in depth comparison of many filters.

This is a good starting point for the members to save in there favorites area, this way they can check out the opinions of someone who must have tried them before...
