I used Fram oil filters for 40 years. Waaaayyy back then they were a top brand but that is no longer the case. They DO make some good filters but the price is outrageous compared to others. I STRONGLY suggest you do some serious reseach. I will no longer use this brand name under any circumstances and haven't since 1996.
There are better choices available for the same or less money. I have researched filters for 10 years now and I'm not the authority but I AM informed.

There are more oil filter tests on the web than you can shake a stick at and I've read them all. If you research only 1% of the time I have put in you'll never use Fram again. Their construction is dirt cheap but you still pay a higher price. No Fricking Way for this boy!!!!!!!!

I have had my 92 accord LX for 2 years, change the oil myself every 4000 miles and always use a fram filter and castrol 5w30, I have never had a problem with oil being dirty or sludgy.

I stay away from the Fram.....I have heard way too much bad about them.

I just stick with the Honda one. If they sell me a crappy oil filter I can blame it on them, but all the Honda ones I have had seem to be of excellent quality. Maybe it is just my dealership (I guess all Honda Accord filters aren't the same). Bottom line, that filter is what Honda recommends--and I have no complaints about anything else Honda did on my car.

Unless your Honda filter has the name "Filtech" on it it's likely a Fram.
