Default Disable Airbags for Heart Surgery Patient?

Greetings to all,

I have a 2006 Accord, and my dad just had heart surgery 3 hours away from home. We expect to get him out of the hospital soon, and have to take him home. He can not ride in front of any kind of airbag because of his surgery. The only place we can put him is in the rear middle. However, he is over 6 feet tall and will still be in a lot of pain. Is there a way to temporarily disable the passenger (or all) airbags while we get him home?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

easiest way would be to find the airbag (sometimes labeled SRS) fuse and pull it... it will make your airbag light come on, but as soon as u put it back in it should clear itself.
