As a convert from Benz diesels to an '07 Accord coupe V-6, six-speed street rod I'm considering switching from regular to synthetic oil (at 12k). And yet the Honda service rep advises against this move. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

 

switching will not really hurt anything, just keep an eye on the oil level.
