When I had my trans fluid changed, I noticed that a filter wasn't on the parts list on the invoice. I read thru my Chilton's manual and also the searched the parts catalog at collegehillshonda.com. I could find a filter...not even one that could be serviced by Honda.

Does the 98 Accord 4 cyclinder sedan have a trans fluid filter?
If not, isn't that a bad thing?
If yes, is it not normally changed during a fluid change?

there are filters but theyre all internal and dont really need servicing. usually the honda ATF 3 quart flush is enough for the transmission service every 30-60k miles.

yea your car doesnt have a filter that you can change... and thats a good thing becuase honda designed the tranny NOT to grind away metal that would otherwise destroy it. its not like a chevy player.......and always use honda only ATF
