i drive a Honda accord 2013 Coupe V6 ex-L ( Gcc region )
I had a car wash yesterday and today I noticed that the button on the door handle used to lock the door is not working.
when I put my hand on the door while the key is in my pocket, the door unlocks. But when I press the button on the door handle to lock the doors, it doesnt lock. I have to manually take out the key in my pocket and press the lock button to lock the doors and it works. But I can’t get the button on the door handle to lock the doors anymore. It was working before the car wash.
what is the problem? When I press the button on the door to lock, I can see the key gives off a red light, but the doors are not locking. Again, only when I press the lock button on the key, the doors lock. What is the issue?

 

I'm not familiar with the newer accords. Does that button only lock the door?

It could be that water got in there and isn't preventing the contact from being made when you push the button. I'd let it dry out and see if the problem fixes itself.
