The dreaded no heat question.
Hello everyone! First time poster looking for your help
First off is lucky enough to have a 99 Honda Accord EX v6 with 220k on her
- I have the automatic climate control feature. A couple weeks ago if it was set to 90 degrees I would have heat. If I dropped it below 90 I would lose heat.
- Now I have absolutely no heat.
- I have two hot hoses into the heater core but does not seem to be moving by the cable. I took the cable off and physically opened it myself and still no heat.
- no over heating or under heating for normal operational temp.
- vents seem to change when selecting. They might get stuck here and there.
Thanks for any help.

Suggest checking for DTC's. See attached procedure.
A frequent cause of no heat or no cooling is a failed air mix motor. Check whether air mix door is moving when temp control is changed from max temp to min temp.
good luck

Ok - Ran the test and got D,KL
D - short in the outside air temp sensor circuit
L - an open or short in the mode control motor corcuit
K - A problem in the air mix control linkage, door or motor
going to google now. Any of these in common?

Listing two motors could have went? Just seems odd they both went at same time.
And with the cost of that. I would prefer to be sure before spending money..
- What steps can I take next given the codes I received
thanks
