Default Dripping from engine area

My brother is thinkin about buying an 03 accord with 73k miles. When he went to check it out he noticed a puddle under the car after the test drive. It appears to be water but it is coming from near the middle of the firewall. The seller said it's condensation from the A/C but I've never heard of dripping from that location - only near the condenser.

In that location I suspect it's coolant from the heater core which would be a dealbreaker. He's going to check it out again to make sure it's water. If it is - where could it be coming from and is this a big problem?

Do not taste it. The ethylene glycol in antifreeze is poisonous.

The a/c should not drip water from the condenser, but from the evaporator inside of the car. There will be a drain tube that comes out of the firewall that drains the water from the evaporator. It should be towards the passenger side of the firewall. Find the drain tube to verify that it is water that is leaking.

You can tell if the liquid is water or antifreeze via smell.
If you want to know what antifreeze smells like, just dip your finger into the plastic reservoir holding the antifreeze and then smell it.
Compare the antifreeze odor with the water from the puddle under the car.

There should be no mistake about the strong odor of antifreeze.
Water should have no strong odor.

It is poisonous, but that is a tell tale way to find out...Lol...Id like to say ive never gotten coolant in my mouth, but trying to find which freeze plug is out on a 02 gt mustang isnt so easy without actually gettin under there and running water through it...
