Drivers Side Door Won't lock
I have a 2001 Honda Accord Ex. My drivers side door won't lock. The lock won't go down when I try to manually push it either. I need to get this fixed but don't know where to take it. I know I can easily take it to the dealership but they will charge me $66.50 just to look at it and I find that totally outrageous. I am located in Norman, OK so if there is anyone in the OKC metro area that knows a great place where I can take it to get it fixed that would be great or somewhere general.

First, check to see if it will lock when you hold the outside door handle open. That's a safety feature in my '96 ... not sure if the older gens have that.
Second, ours did the exact same thing you mentioned ... jammed in an open position. Turns out it was the door lock actuator that was defective and was jamming ... I had just replaced it with a new Dorman unit six months prior. Fortunately Dorman has a lifetime warranty so I was able to get a new one free of charge - only had to pay for return shipping of the defective part.

That didn't work. I think something is jammed or caught inside. Either I need to get someone who has tools or I need to buy some to take the door panel off and see if I can find out.

If you plan on doing DIY work, I suggest getting a shop manual for your car. The 01 shop manual can be purchased at automanualsource.com for $21.99 as a pdf. It will help a lot.
The door panel will need removed, and you only need a few basic tools to do this.
Here is a video on a 97 accord to remove the panel. The process will be similar on your 01.
