So I was told my Tires are dry Rotted. The weather has been so lousy that I haven't even taken notice. QUESTION?: Will Dry Rot tires effect the drivability of my ride? the performance? How? Why? Thanks!

 

I like to call tired with dry rot maypops...because they may pop at any time. dry rot is exactly what the name suggests, the rubber is starting rot away and let more heat into the tire causing all sorts of problems...get a new set of tires pronto.

Just in case someone's tempted to keep using old tires...
Another danger is that the rubber compound gets hard & 'slippery' with age. You may not notice just by looking at the tire -you'll notice as you're sliding towards that tree.

 

SOoooo what everyone is saying is that it WILL effect the current performance of my car LOL. Gotcha.... Because the current performance of my car is less than adequate. I'm guessing this is partially why. To find out the rest.... keep a look at out for my soon to come....what the hell is wrong with my clutch posts.
