What does activating Sport mode in '90 Accord EX actually do?

 

It will shift later than normal, letting you gain more rpm for more speed and horsepower. Example: Say normally it shifts at 3200 rpm, in sport mode it would shift maybe 1000 rpm later at about 4200 rpm allowing you to gain more speed quicker.

 

So there is really no difference unless you go WOT?

 

There may be a slight difference but im not sure. I think you will feel it when you go WOT.
