Default The Easiest Job is Always the Longest!

Dang Tie rod boot! Got new inner tie rod and all parts and I cannot get the new boot to slip onto the rack. What should take a minute,Is taking me over 45 minutes of non stop trying and it just wont slip on.

I guess its tough to do when the car is on jackstands and youre laying on your back on a very cold garage floor!

I checked it and it is the correct boot,Ive done these on other cars, but always had a lift. This one is just not slipping on.Im even using pick tools to hold one side and try to get the other on,but am not successful.

LOL its murphys law...I know I will eventually get it on,but man,the wheels should be back on the car by now!

It figures...its an aftermarket boot from Napa and it is not exactly the same size as the old one,its smaller. It will NOT go on,will not fit,no amount of stretching will get it there...taking it back and getting one from the Dealer instead.
