Default Emergency brake light wont come on

Just got a 98 honda accord lx 2.3L, 4 cyl. auto. Everything works fine except the interior emergency brake light is out. I'm thinking a fuse (hoping) but cannot find anything online anywhere that indicates which fuse is for the emergency brake light. Anyone?

As an aside, dash clock works, but light behind it doesn't - have to take apart dash to replace bulb? Thanks very much for any and all help.

Does the light come on at anytime? Can't remember if there is a bulb check for the brake when you turn the key to on???? So if you pull brake fluid the cap off the brake master and let the float sit at the bottom (like it was out of brake fluid) and start the car, does the light come on? If so it could be a dirty e-brake switch in the console.

For the clock, are you talking about the "lights on" part of the clock? No, to remove the clock the dash does not have to come out, it pretty much just pulls out.

To replace the EB light, that's pulling the dash, no?

Thanks.

The light doesn't come on at any time. Not sure what you mean with the brake fluid reference. What about the fuse? Any idea as to the location, or can direct me to a manual with the info?

Got a handle on this - several posts on here about this. Seems to be regular issue...

Thanks for the responses.

The "brake light" will come one when the e-brake is on OR if there is low fluid in the brake master cyl.

So my reference to the fluid was to verify if the bulb was bad or if the switch on the e-barke was bad/dirty.

You can check the #9 drivers underdash fuse (7.5 amp)
