Default Engine code p1367

Hello,

I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 with a code p1367 (No Signal In TDC 2 Sensor Circuit). Is this a matter of just replacing the sensor and if so are there any illustrations or pics of where this is located? Thanks

It could be a wiring problem.

Before you do anything,, chk for a lose connection or lose wire,, if ok,, clear the code and test drive the car ,, if lite comes back on, try these quick tests

unplug the connector for the TDC ,,,,,,ignition switch off..

where it snaps on, the top 2 wires are for the tdc 1 ,, the bottom 2 are for tdc 2 .. ( code p1367)
measure rsistance between the 2 wires,,,,,,,should be ,,1,850-2,450 ohms .. if out of specs replace the sensor

if within specs,,,,,,,,,chk for continuity to body ground on each wire .....if there is continuity,, replace the tdc sensor ..if no continuity we need to go to the PCM and troubleshoot it from there......

try what i suggested first and see what happens

I checked the ohms on both the top and the bottom pins. The top two didnt show any resistance but the bottom two did read. Could the top two actually be the #2?

Well after testing the old cam sensor it seems to be bad so I have purchased a new one. Does anybody know where to go online or have pics from a factory service manual on changing this sensor? Thanks.

Well after buying a new sensor and then really studying where it goes I decided to call in reinforcements. It wasnt something I wanted to attempt without a FSM or a little help. Removing the timing belt and one of the flywheels did not look too easy. Anyway the sensor is replaced and the Accord is back to running fine. Thanks for any help.
